Integration Guide
Set up in your LMS
Select your platform below for step-by-step installation instructions. At many institutions, LMS administrators must complete these steps.
Step 1: Register the Tool

Open Manage Extensibility
Log in to D2L Brightspace as an Administrator. Open the gear menu (top right) and click Manage Extensibility.

Start Registration
Click the LTI Advantage tab, then click Register Tool. Choose Standard and click Register.

Fill in the Tool Fields
Enter a name of your choice. Fill in the following required fields exactly:
Domain: https://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/vaa5/Index
Redirect URL: https://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/vaa5/Index
OpenID Connect URL: https://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/vaa5/Login
Keyset URL: https://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/vaa5/jwks
Extensions and roles can remain unchecked. Click Register.

Save Registration Details
A Brightspace Registration Details pop-up will appear. Copy and save this data. You'll need it shortly. Then click View Deployments.
Step 2: Deploy the Tool

Create New Deployment
Click New Deployment. Under Tool, select the name of the tool you just registered.

Configure Settings
Under Security Settings, check Anonymous. Under Configuration Settings, check Open as External Resource. Under Make tool available to, add the appropriate org units for your institution.

Save Deployment ID & Contact Us
Click Create Deployment. A popup will show your Deployment ID. Send this ID together with the Registration Details from Step 4 to us via email to complete the LTI 1.3 process.
